Markham Vale Business Welcomes New Expansion

After planning permission was granted in 2015 for our expansion, work has now been completed and we are proud to reveal the new and improved Industrial Ancillaries headquarters. After just under four months of construction, Caddick Construction (our principal contractor) unveiled the new building enhancements and extension in early February 2016.

The external offices have now been extended across the front of the building adding 3,600 sq. ft. of office space.

As well as increasing office space, the building now has an array of new facilities including:

  • A brand new Training Academy for the company to focus on delivering it’s BFPA Accredited courses (more information can be found at www.indanc.academy)
  • A re-vamped Trade Counter opening in April 2016 to offer customers a welcoming and more widely-stocked store
  • A re-vamped workshop
  • New canteen and welfare areas for staff
  • New meeting room facilities furnished with modern equipment, created for both staff and customer use
  • Additional car parking space to add to the already ample parking available on-site
  • Additional Kardex Remstar© vertical lift machines to provide enhanced storage facilities and increase product lines

In-line with the company’s continuous efforts to be energy efficient, the new build has a relentless focus on energy efficiency and eco-credentials. Rainwater harvesting and solar photo-voltaic panels ensure the building keeps up with its low co2 emission rate and company ethos.

The new ultra-modern facility undoubtedly brings more value to the company and an enhanced capability to provide more improved service to customers. Industrial Ancillaries looks forward to welcoming visitors to the new premises and continuing to build the business from strength to strength.

Our BFPA Courses

BFPA Safety Hydraulic Hose Courses

Industrial Ancillaries Academy offers a number of BFPA hydraulic hose safety courses aimed at raising awareness and standards in the hydraulics industry. These industry-recognised courses are taught in our Academy teaching rooms and workshop at our Chesterfield HQ, located just off the M1 Junction 29a near Chesterfield and Sheffield.

HydraulicsWe recommend our training courses to anyone who works with hydraulics: whether you are new to the industry or only have limited contact with hydraulics. Correspondingly, we have hydraulic safety courses suitable for all levels of experience.

Hydraulics are used in a broad range of industries, including construction, oil and gas, farming, mining, aerospace, and nuclear and renewable energy.

Hydraulics often operate in extreme environments such as high temperature and pressure. It is very important when working with hydraulics that very strict safety rules are adhered to. Although rare, if they do occur, accidents can be very serious and sometimes fatal.

Accidents generally happen when equipment is faulty or damaged; therefore, safety training is of vital importance.

The Industrial Ancillaries Academy offers three BFPA courses, including a Foundation Safety Course for those who are new to hydraulics and further courses for more experienced employees.

Foundation Safety Course
Basic hydraulics health and safety course.

Hose Assembly Skills Course
2-day course on hose assembly procedure, including routing and installation.

Hose Integrity, Inspection and Management Course
Health and safety assessment training including risk analysis and competence.

Providing First Class Safety Training

Industrial Ancillaries has always been committed to promoting safety in the workplace especially in the hydraulics and pneumatics industries where vigilance and rigorous safety procedures are essential to ensuring the protection of the workforce from potential debilitating injury. Therefore, it was seen as a natural evolution to branch out into running training courses on the correct practices for safety when working with hydraulics.

Industrial Ancillaries Academy has identified a need for quality training in the East Midlands. We are starting by running the full range of BFPA courses from foundation to advanced hydraulics safety level. We will also be running the new BFPA Small Bore Tubing Integrity course when it is released later in the year. The company will be extending its range of courses to include the Gates Hydraulic Safety courses in the autumn.

In the future the Academy is planning to develop and run a wide range of industry related courses not just for hydraulics and pneumatics but also for other industries such as petrochemical, semi-conductor, construction and energy. So watch this space!
