Industrial Safety Training from the Experts at the IA Academy
Providing Industrial Safety Training courses for people working with, maintaining, and managing hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Are you an industrial worker using or maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic hose assemblies? Conversely, do you employ or manage workers who use hydraulic and pneumatic hose assemblies? IA Academy’s Industrial Safety Training courses promote fluid power safety and awareness in both workplace and mobile applications.
Our curriculum includes professionally accredited Industrial Safety Training courses, ranging from our basic introductory Foundation Safety Course to expert instruction focused on more advanced skills, such as Hose Inspection and Hose Management. Most importantly, each year we train and certify hundreds of people in the UK, from all industrial backgrounds, in hose safety and hose management skills.
Why Industrial Safety Training at the IA Academy?
First and foremost, Industrial Ancillaries has almost fifty years of expertise in the industrial hose and fittings business. Moreover, since our foundation in 1969, we have solidly grown into one of the UK’s leading distributors of superior quality hydraulic, pneumatic, instrumentation and process products. Last, but by no means least, in the field of fluid power solutions, we have earned industry-wide respect and recognition as a knowledgeable, responsible, and dependable company—a company you can trust.
The IA Academy runs a number of Industrial Safety Training courses designed for people working with, maintaining, and managing hydraulic and pneumatic systems across the full range of industrial sectors, including: construction, oil and gas, plumbing, process and analytical, instrumentation, energy, aerospace, and medical. With this in mind, in our role as a BFPA-approved Training Centre, the IA Academy is proactively helping to raise industry standards and awareness—especially with regard to health and safety.
Our Courses
The Industrial Ancillaries Academy offers Industrial Safety Training courses in partnership with the following trade associations and industrial manufacturing companies:
BFPA Courses | Gates Hydraulics Courses | HAM-LET® Online Courses |
Besides providing industry-recognised certification of competency, as stated above, the goal of our training courses is to help raise the awareness of people who work with hydraulic and pneumatic hoses at all levels. Accordingly, we can provide training appropriate for the system designer and field engineer, for the machine operator and the individual who actually makes hose assemblies.
The BFPA Foundation Safety Course and the practical, workshop-based Hose Assembly Skills training programme build upon a basic foundation level of knowledge. Course attendees are trained to a fully assessed level of ability in hose assembly techniques. Additionally, we have recently introduced the Hose Integrity, Inspection and Management Course and the Small Bore Tube Integrity Course.
BFPA Courses
All attendees of our BFPA courses receive a high-quality, personalised course book with certification of skills and achievement, together with registration on the BFPA national database.
In addition, attendees will also get the new BFPA Passport Scheme card on completion of their course. The BFPA Passport Scheme is both a photo ID card and a record of the courses each participant has undertaken. For more details on the Passport Scheme, see the BFPA article here.
If you have studied at the IA Academy in the past two years, you can claim your BFPA Passport Scheme card retrospectively if you contact the BFPA.
