Safe Hydraulics Foundation Course

Safe Hydraulics Foundation Course
BFPA-Certified Safe Hydraulics Foundation Course (Foundation Course in Working Safely with Hydraulic Hose and Connectors): Training at the IA Academy, Chesterfield.

About the Foundation Safety Course

Our Safe Hydraulics Foundation Course (Foundation Course in Working Safely with Hydraulic Hose and Connectors) is a one-day course teaching best practices for working safely with and around hydraulics. In short, it is an excellent induction course for newcomers to the industry. At the same time, it is a superb safety course for people who are not primarily hydraulic or fluid power technicians, but work from time to time with machinery containing hydraulic components. The Foundation Safety Course contains video presentations of safe working practices involving associated dangers such as fluid injection injuries, and examples of hose manufacture from raw components. Those attending the course receive a high-quality, personalised course book and certificate of attendance, as well as registration on the British Fluid Power Association (BFPA) national database.

Upon completing the course, attendees will also be eligible for the new BFPA Passport Scheme card. The card is both a photo ID and a record of courses taken. For more details on the Passport Scheme, see the BFPA article here.

IA Academy Training Course Reviews

“As a key point of contact for customers purchasing hydraulic equipment, taking the BFPA Foundation Safety Course in Working Safely with Hydraulic Hose was useful for me to familiarise myself more with the products and learn about the importance of safety. I can now apply my knowledge when helping a customer choose a product and help them make the best decision.”
Emma  |  Business Development Manager

“Working directly with hydraulic products on a daily basis, it is important to not only understand how the equipment works and what sizes they come in, but also to be aware of any factors that may tamper with their safety. So the short course in hydraulic hose and connectors significantly improved my understanding of this.”
Scott  |  Warehouse Operative
